Pool Deck Slab Jacking

Pool Deck Slabjacking for Neighborhood Pool in Virginia Beach, Virginia

Problem:

Community pool owned by Home Owners Association had trip hards where concrete deck slabs met coping.

Constraints:

HOA was looking for the most cost effective repair to address the trip hazards, while maintaining the aesthetics of the pool area.

Solution:

Slab jacking, also known as mud jacking and concrete leveling, to lift and stabilize the settled areas of the pool deck. The process works by injecting a sand-based grout mixture under the pool deck concrete to raise the slabs back up to their original positions.

Result:

Concrete Jack slab jacking crews successfully lifted the concrete slabs around the entire perimeter of the pool.  The work was completed in one day, and 7 cubic yards of sand-based slab jacking grout were placed.
